One of the main prime areas of R & D is to develop sustainable solutions to curb the ever growing energy crises. Research areas such as; renewable energy resources such as Bio-fuel, energy solutions for rural communities, energy efficiency, mapping of emerging renewable energy resources & their utilization.
Technology Centre established at U.S.-Pakistan Centre for Advanced Studies in Energy (USPCAS-E) plays a pivotal role assisting Government in enforcement of national and international codes and standards and serve industry for compliance of codes and standards. It enhances sustainability of USPCAS-E and strengthens academic-industry linkages through short-term certifications and commercial testing to cope with specific needs of energy industry in Pakistan.
Technology center, being a referral point is focused towards Renewable Energy, Clean Energy, Smart Grid, Water Resource Management and Energy Efficiency Industry in Pakistan through skill development, specialized testing services, third party validation, design and consultancy services.
