Diabetes Mellitus is one of the most prevalent metabolic disorders in the world today. According to a WHO report in 2018, globally 1 in 11 individuals is affected with diabetes (World Health Organization, 2018).

People with diabetes face complications like neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy and diabetic foot disease if their blood glucose is not controlled. For a diabetic foot there are a number of dressing types available in the market. These dressings mitigate the severity of wounds but fail to serve as a complete solution for diabetic wound healing because of their limitations.

We have come up with a holistic wound management system for diabetic ulcers. This smart wound management system combines and synchronizes quantitative real-time assessment of wound health and tunable drug dispensation for tailored patient outcomes.
